Lovelock is the perfect witness to record the actions of the genius that is his mistress. Who is going to consult him when it is decided that Carole Jeanne and her family is going to join a colony ship? Lovelock LOVES Carole Jeanne or is it just conditioning. This is an interesting book with an interesting concept. There are places in the book when Card's Mormon background seeps through into the story line but it is just enough to make the story interesting.
