Welcome to Creek Designs. 

By entering this part of my site you are indicating that you are interested in having a web site designed for you. 

The reason may be because you don't have the time to design your own site, or even because you don't know how. Hey, that ain't anything to be ashamed of.. I can't put a motor in a car or do open heart surgery.

Now that you have decided you want (or need) a web site you must decide what you need it for. 
Will it be just a personal site, a place where you can put the pictures of you and the wife and kids.. and maybe that vacation to Disney Land? Maybe it will be a place to sell that product that you want a wider market for?
Whatever the reason, you have just made the first step towards a web presence.

Above my logo (in the menu) you will find links to many different types of sites.  You may wish one similar to one of the sites seen there, or possibly a site completely different.  We can figure something out.

Before we go any further lets discuss why having a web presence is so important.

1. It is a quick way to share information with a large group of people.
• Data can be sent world wide as quick as it can be put on the internet
• Feedback can begin immediately via a mail link or a discussion board.
• Additional data can be passed between colleagues using email or one of the popular programs like ICQ which is a mini communications center and much more.
2. If you have a business site you can actually sell items online!
• Credit cards can be accepted as well as other means of payment.
• There can be a shopping cart, your own private store where customers can conveniently order and even pay for items (if your cart is set up that way)
• Photographs added to the site would greatly enhance your sales

Now lets examine a typical site which  might  contain the following:

• Opening Page - Brief overview of you and your services .
• About Us - A page telling your viewers about you and your credentials etc.
• Contact Us - A form page people can fill out and email to you if they want more info.
• Services Offered - Full explanation of what you offer.
• FAQ - Answers to common questions people ask or are curious about. (Frequently Asked Questions)
• Another item that is getting popular is a discussion board. You may use that as a place for family and friends to leave messages to each other, post notices about family events, discuss your favorite teams, post recipes or if a business web site, use it as a place your clients and potential clients  can use for technical support..

There are many other things that may be done to a web site but above are the basics  although the last one was really just shown here to give you the idea of added potential.
